Carbon Dioxide

Carbon Dioxide

CO2 has long been used as a cheap effective pH control medium, however more operators are now experiencing an increase in usage due to longer time between backwashes resulting in higher TDS and TA levels.

With the Higher TA levels the CO2 (Carbonic Acid) is just not strong enough to swing the pH. The result is a higher usage of Dry Acid or Hydrochloric Acid and the added expense of an acid feeder process.
